Program: Smoking Cessation I

Who It’s For: If you are thinking about quitting smoking and are ready to make some important changes, this program is for you. Quitting smoking is one of the most challenging things you can do. This is because smoking is really two addictions, an addiction to the behavior of smoking and an addiction to nicotine. Our Smoking Cessation: Parts 1 and 2 program addresses both of these addictions. In the first six weeks, you will confront the behaviors surrounding your smoking habit. Then, at the end of week six, you will quit smoking altogether.

What You’ll Do: If you do all the steps in our Smoking Cessation program, your chances of quitting skyrocket. Each of the steps is carefully designed based on sound behavioral principles to position you to quit smoking forever. The steps will teach you the skills you need to be a smokefree person. The first four weeks of the program involve these skills:

Results to Expect: Over the course of the next four weeks, you will reduce your cigarette smoking by 40%, while simultaneously focusing on breaking your established smoking habits. Each week, you will increase your confidence by making small, but significant, changes. This will get you ready to quit smoking entirely six weeks from now.
